The United States women's soccer team will play Japan, Sweden and Denmark in Group B of the Algarve Cup in Portugal next month.

The Americans said Wednesday they will open against Japan on March 5, face Sweden and former United States coach Pia Sundhage two days later and end the first round against Denmark on March 10.

The U.S. has won the tournament in nine of 18 previous trips. Group A includes China, Germany, Iceland and Norway. The Group A and B winners play for the title on March 12.

Sites and kickoff times have not been determined. The United States have a 52-10-9 record all-time at the Algarve Cup and have scored 158 goals while allowing 54.
