Hristo Stoichkov, a Bulgarian soccer icon and former star of FC Barcelona, has signed on to work as an expert commentator for leading Mexican broadcaster Televisa, Sofia-based daily Trud reported Wednesday.

Co-recipient of the European Golden Shoe (as the top goal scorer in Europe's domestic leagues) in 1990 and winner of the Ballon d'Or (as Europe's top player) in 1994, as well as the leading scorer in the 1994 World Cup, Stoichkov will work out of Miami on a contract that runs through next year's World Cup in Brazil, the paper reported, without citing a source.

He and his family traveled earlier this week to Miami, where they will live in a high-rise apartment provided by Televisa, Trud reported. EFE
