Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green connected on a three-pointer at the final buzzer to take his team to a 111-110 victory over the Miami Heat

Green notched 24 points in 36 minutes of play in the Celtics' third consecutive win Saturday and the team is now in second place in the NBA's Atlantic Division, tied with the Toronto Raptors.

Guard Avery Bradley contributed 17 points and reserve guard Jordan Crawford added 15 to help the Boston attack.

Reserve center, Brazilian rookie Vitor Faverani, also tallied two points in three minutes of play with a 2-pointer from the field.

The Heat - who are now 4-3 to the Celtics' 3-4 - and continue to lead the Southeastern Division, were steered by LeBron James, who had a double-double with 25 points and 10 assists, although this time his work could not give a win to the defending champs, who have been playing rather inconsistent basketball during the season's early phase.

Center Chris Bosh contributed 20 points for the Heat and Dwyane Wade added 18, but neither was able to hit on decisive shots that could have flipped the final outcome around. EFE
