France will face Ukraine and Portugal is to battle Sweden for two of the last four European berths in the 2014 World Cup.

The contests for the other two slots will feature Greece against Romania and Iceland versus Croatia.

Portugal, Greece, Croatia and Ukraine were seeded going into Monday's draw at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland.

The dates for the two-leg playoff are Nov. 15 and 19.

Portugal, Ukraine, Greece and Iceland will be the hosts for their respective first-leg matches.

The results of the draw mean that either Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo or Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic - regarded as among the world's top players - will miss the tournament in Brazil.

Belgium, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, England and defending champion Spain have already secured their places in the 2014 World Cup. EFE
