Atletico Madrid has sealed a deal with Roberto Verino for the next three seasons, making the fashion house the "official supplier of non-sports attire" for the soccer club.
The fashion house has created what the club hailed as a "modern, elegant and tough" outfit.
Atletico's players and coaching staff, led by head coach Diego Simeone, showed off the new attire during an event Monday at Vicente Calderon Stadium.
"I am very excited to have this opportunity" to be the designer "for this magnificent club," Verino said.
"We share with Atletico many of the same ways of understanding life, the focus on effort, sacrifice and the ability to sometimes make the impossible possible. And doing all of that with the pride and belief that you know you are not always able to win, but that you have to go for it," the designer said.
Atletico Madrid, which was founded on April 26, 1903, is one of the most popular soccer clubs in Spain and won the European SuperCup in 2010 and 2012. EFE
