ROME (AP) – Atalanta midfielder Guilio Migliaccio and his club have been called to a hearing by the Italian football federation after the player was involved in an incident with a tank earlier this month.
The federation has not said when the disciplinary commission hearing will take place or what punishment Migliaccio could face.
The incident took place on July 14, at the Atalanta supporters' annual preseason festival in Bergamo. Migliaccio was onboard a tank, driven by Atalanta fans, that drove over two cars decorated in the colors of rival teams Brescia and Roma.
Migliaccio, who had signed from Palermo the previous week, apologized the next day and said he was unwittingly part of the stunt.
