A steady drizzle falling over southwest London prevented matches from getting underway Friday on Wimbledon's outer courts.

All matches scheduled for Friday have been suspended except those on Centre Court (which has a retractable roof), where a women's second-round singles contest between Britain's Laura Robson and Colombia's Mariana Duque Marino began the session.

That will be followed by a men's third round match between Spain's Nicolas Almagro and Poland's Jerzy Janowicz.

The final match of the day on Centre Court will pit Britain's Andy Murray, the No. 2 seed, against Spain's Tommy Robredo. EFE
