Frank Lampard's agent has denied giving an interview in which he was reported to have said his client was "certain" to leave Chelsea .
Steve Kutner was quoted on cittaceleste.it as saying the England midfielder would definitely depart Stamford Bridge in the summer and that a move to Serie A was possible.
"As for the future, the only certainty is that he will change team at the end of the season. Frank wants to pay for a great side, capable of challenging for important targets and where he could win more trophies.
"We won't rule anything out. The only thing that counts is that the player is happy and can continue playing at a high level."
Kutner added: "As I said, a champion of Lampard's caliber deserves the biggest stage. Serie A? Why not? Only time will tell if Lazio could be the ideal destination."
But after the story broke, BBC Radio 5 Live presenter Mark Chapman tweeted: "Lampard's agent has just told us he hasnt spoken to anybody about Lampard's future and hasn't given any interview about it."
