Celtics guard Rajon Rondo led the attack as Boston beat the Nets 93-76 Tuesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Rondo, who was expelled in the second quarter the last time the two squads met, put up 19 points and garnered six rebounds, five assists and three steals to spoil Christmas for the Nets and the hometown crowd.
Rookie Jared Sullinger, Jeff Green and Jason Terry also scored in double-digits for the visitors.
The Celtics took a 56-42 lead into halftime and combined good defense with shrewd shot selection to dominate the second half.
The Nets gave away the ball 20 times versus 11 for Boston, which won for only the second time in the last six games, while Brooklyn has now lost seven of its last 10 outings.
Tuesday's result leaves the two teams tied for second in the NBA's Atlantic Division. EFE
