Linebacker Clay Matthews, safety Charles Woodson and receiver Jordy Nelson have been ruled out for the Green Bay Packers' game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday night.

The three players will not take the field for the National Football Conference North match-up, the Packers said.

Matthews and Nelson, who have leg injuries, and Woodson, who broke his collarbone earlier in the season, top the list of injured players for the Packers.

Head coach Mike McCarthy, however, said the Packers (8-4) would make the necessary adjustments for the game.

The Packers, who are hosting the Lions (4-8), will try to stay on top of the NFC North despite having five starters out.

Running back James Starks and defensive end C.J. Wilson, who are recovering from knee injuries, will also miss the Detroit game. EFE
