Serbia's Novak Djokovic defeated Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 Sunday in the semifinals of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London.

The seventh-ranked Del Potro took the first set from the world No. 1 but was unable to hold off the Serbian.

Del Potro reached the final of this event in 2009 but lost to Russia's Nikolay Davydenko 6-3, 6-4.

Djokovic, who won the season-ending tournament in 2008, will play in the final on Monday against the winner of the other semifinal, which features Switzerland's Roger Federer against Britain's Andy Murray.

Del Potro beat out Djokovic for the bronze medal at the London Olympics last summer and led Argentina to victory against Serbia in the Davis Cup final last year.

The eight-man Barclays ATP World Tour Finals is the biggest tournament on the men's tennis calendar after the four Grand Slams. EFE
