Flamengo has given Adriano another warning for missing a training session and a club director says the former Brazil star is not sure whether he wants to continue playing football.

Club director Zinho spoke with Adriano on Monday and said the player is ''confused'' and ''has doubts about whether he will continue his career.''

Zinho said Adriano doesn't know if he will be able to perform at a high level again because of ''personal problems'' and will talk to relatives and close friends before making a decision about his future.

Flamengo took a chance on signing the 30-year-old Adriano in August even though he hadn't played in more than six months because of surgery on his left Achilles tendon. He had been fired from Corinthians because he didn't take the recovery seriously.
