Stevenage boss Gary Smith believes Andy Iro will take time to show what he can do at the club.

Smith snapped up the 6ft 5in former Columbus Crew and Toronto defender this week and believes he has all the credentials to be a hit in League One.

He told BBC Three Counties Radio: "He's strong, he's aggressive, powerful in the air and for a big guy he is efficient enough with the ball and fairly quick when he gets in his stride.

"He can certainly offer something to the group but he needs time to make that transition."
