Millonarios is considering forfeiting the league titles it won in 1987 and '88 when the Colombia football club was controlled by drug traffickers.

Club president Felipe Gaitan said Tuesday the idea of giving up the titles was in the preliminary stage of discussion. The Bogota-based team has won 13 league titles, tied for the most in Colombian football with America de Cali.

Gaitan was speaking on Caracol Radio and says the idea was proposed by members on the board of directors.
