AC Milan star player Filippo Inzaghi is the new coach of the club's youth team.

The 38-year-old Inzaghi quit Milan at the end of last season and had been linked with a move to English clubs Reading and Watford.

Milan confirmed on Tuesday that Inzaghi will be in charge of the youngsters through mid-2014.

Inzaghi made 300 appearances for Milan after joining in 2001 from Juventus.

He helped Milan win two Serie A title and two Champions League trophies. He also helped Italy win the 2006 World Cup.
