HAMBURG, Germany (AP) – Hamburger SV has signed Latvia striker Artjoms Rudnevs from Polish side Lech Poznan.
The Bundesliga side says the 24-year-old Rudnevs signed a four-year deal, having impressed in the Polish first division with 33 goals in 56 appearances for Poznan.
The dapd news agency says Hamburg will pay around ?3.5 million ($4.53 million) for Rudnevs.
His signing comes after the Hamburg board agreed to sign former Germany goalkeeper Rene Adler, who lost his place at Bayer Leverkusen after undergoing knee surgery.
The 27-year-old Adler arrives on a free transfer and is expected to sign a deal to keep him in Hamburg until June 2017.
