LAS VEGAS - Tim Tebow may have Jesus in his corner, but it would appear boxing champ Floyd Mayweather is seated on the opposite side of the ring.

Sports books around the gambling mecca of Las Vegas were buzzing Thursday with speculation that Mayweather dropped a $1 million bet on Tebow and the Broncos to lose to New England on Dec. 18.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Cantor Gaming sports book director at M Resort, Mike Colbert, would neither confirm nor deny the rumors, but said the undefeated pugilist is "a valued customer who frequents the books quite often."

If true, Mayweather won big on Tebow's 41-23 loss to Tom Brady and company.

Unfortunately for the five-division world champ, he does not have long to enjoy his earnings. Mayweather is scheduled to begin a 90-day prison sentence on domestic violence charges Jan. 6.

Meanwhile, Tebow and the Broncos have lost two straight following the team's "miracle" streak of six victories. Denver will be looking for more Tebow magic Sunday as the team heads into the regular season finale fighting for a playoff spot.
