Denmark qualified for the European Championship by beating Portugal 2-1 Tuesday.

The win means Denmark leapfrogged Portugal to finish atop Group H, while the Portuguese will have to go through a playoff for a spot in next year's tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Goals by Michael Krohn-Dehli and Nicklas Bendtner put Denmark up 2-0 by the 63rd minute before Cristiano Ronaldo pulled one back with a free kick in injury time.

Portugal needed only a draw to qualify directly.

Denmark qualified for its seventh European Championship finals.
