HAMBURG, Germany (AP) – The Hamburger Abendblatt newspaper says Bundesliga side Hamburger SV is considering the appointment of Thorsten Fink as coach.
The newspaper reported Friday that Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen has held talks with the former Bayern Munich player.
The 43-year-old Fink is currently coach of FC Basel, which he led to two Swiss league titles and one cup win. His contract with the Swiss Super League champion runs to 2013.
Hamburg - which is bottom of the Bundesliga - is searching for a permanent replacement for Michael Oenning, who was sacked last month.
