Denmark can pull away from Norway and edge closer to at least a playoff spot for the 2012 European Championship with a win over Cyprus on Friday.

The Danes have 13 points in Group H, the same as Portugal and Norway. The Portuguese host Iceland on Friday, while Norway has the day off.

Nicklas Bendtner, who scored both goals in Denmark's 2-0 win over Norway last month, will lead Denmark's attack against Cyprus.

Denmark coach Morten Olsen has also called up veteran midfielder Christian Poulsen and striker Soren Larsen for the Cyprus match and for the Oct. 11 qualifier against Portugal.

The Cypriots, who have only two points in six qualifying matches, have never beaten Denmark in five attempts.
