OSAKA, Japan (AP) – South Korean striker Lee Keun-ho scored in the first half as Gamba Osaka beat Urawa Reds 1-0 on Sunday to maintain its lead in the J-League.
Lee took a pass from Yasuhito Endo in the 28th minute and beat Urawa goalkeeper Nobuhiro Kato with a right-footed shot from 16 meters in the 28th minute.
Osaka improved to 57 points, one ahead of Kashiwa Reysol with six games left.
Masato Kudo scored in the first half as Kashiwa Reysol beat Kashima Antlers 1-0 to keep its title hopes alive.
Elsewhere, third-placed Nagoya Grampus lost 2-0 to Shimizu S-Pulse while fifth-placed Vegalta Sendai beat Cerezo Osaka 2-1.
