The 24-year-old joined the Cottagers last season after featuring for Algeria in the World Cup in South Africa, where he helped them secure a draw with England in the group stage. But he has found first-team action hard to come by and has made just two appearances during his time with the London club. Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to add to his defensive ranks with captain Garry Monk continuing to struggle with a foot injury and Alan Tate set to be out of action for six months after breaking his leg in a golf buggy crash on Sunday. It is understood that the deal will be for a loan spell until January, by which time Tate may not be too far away from a return to action. The Swans have also been linked with moves for Middlesbrough's Matthew Bates and Watford's Adrian Mariappa.
