Senegal striker Papiss Demba Cisse says he wants to leave Bundesliga club Freiburg.

The 26-year-old Cisse told public broadcaster SWR on Tuesday that ''I want to go.''

Cisse, joint top scorer in the league with four goals in three games, said ''yes, I have a contract, but I also want to test myself at a different level.''

Cisse, who has a contract with Freiburg until 2014, scored 22 goals in the Bundesliga last season, second only to Bayern Munich's Mario Gomez who scored 28.

The Senegalese is a transfer target for several European clubs, including Wolfsburg in Germany, English sides Tottenham and Fulham, and Terek Grozny and Rubin Kazan in Russia.
