Czech Republic forward Vaclav Sverkos has completed a move from French club Sochaux to his former team, Banik Ostrava.

The 27-year-old Sverkos had a contract until the end 2011-12 season with Sochaux but reached a deal to terminate it after failing to secure a spot in the lineup. Last season, he was on loan to Greek club Panionios.

Ostrava signed Sverkos to a five-year-contract Tuesday.

Sverkos moved to France from Ostrava in January 2009. He previously played for Borussia Moenchengladbach, Hertha Berlin and Austria Vienna.

Sverkos has scored three goals in his 11 international games.
