Tottenham has had to close one of the ticket offices at its north London stadium after it was damaged in the unrest that followed the police shooting of a local man.

The Park Lane office at the Premier League club's White Hart Lane ground was damaged when a peaceful protest against this week's fatal shooting degenerated into a Saturday night rampage of rioting, looting and multiple fires.

Spurs say ''supporters are strongly advised to use the telephone and internet to purchase tickets'' instead of the southern most office.

The club say the office will be closed Monday and Tuesday, but that its northern stand office will be open.

Tottenham opens the season at White Hart Lane on Saturday against Everton.
