AC Milan won a record sixth Italian Super Cup after coming from behind to beat city rival Inter Milan 2-1 in a hard-fought derby at Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing on Saturday.

Inter led at halftime after Wesley Sneijder curled a free kick over the wall and the ball ricocheted in off the crossbar.

Milan came back in the second half, scoring through a diving header by Zlatan Ibrahimovic from a cross by Clarence Seedorf.

Milan hit the front when Alexandre Pato ran onto a through ball and hit the post with his shot, allowing a sliding Kevin-Prince Boateng to knock the ball into the net.

The victory moved Milan one Italian Super Cup clear of Inter and two in front of Juventus.
