WEST BROMWICH, England (AP) – Hungary captain Zoltan Gera has rejoined West Bromwich Albion on a two-year contract.
The 32-year-old Gera was released by Fulham at the end of last season. He will not be available until mid-September as he recovers from an ankle injury.
West Brom have the option to extend Gera's contract by an extra year after the initial two years expire.
West Brom manager Roy Hodgson says ''I think it is an excellent signing and he is a player I hope will do as well in the coming seasons as he has done in the past season with West Brom and Fulham.''
Gera has made 71 appearances for his country, scoring 21 goals.
