Mexico international Efrain Juarez has joined Real Zaragoza on a season-long loan deal from Scottish club Celtic.

Juarez, who plays as a defender or midfielder and has appeared 34 times for the Mexican national team, was presented to the media on Thursday.

Juarez renews acquaintances with Zaragoza's Mexican coach Javier Aguirre, the former national coach who selected the player for the World Cup in South Africa last year.

He is Zaragoza's fifth signing ahead of the new season.

The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Mexican club UNAM Pumas, spent time in Barcelona's reserve team and became the first Mexican to play in the Scottish Premier League when he moved to Celtic last season for 3 million pounds ($4.9 million).
