MALAGA, Spain (AP) – Malaga says it has signed winger Joaquin Sanchez from Valencia, the club's latest move on the transfer market ahead of next season.
Malaga says the 30-year-old former Spain international will be presented to the media on Monday. According to Spanish reports, he has agreed to a three-year deal and cost his new club ?4 million ($5.7 million).
Joaquin joined Valencia from Real Betis for ?25 million (then $32 million) in 2006. He won the Copa del Rey at Valencia and played for Spain at the 2002 and '06 World Cups.
