SINGAPORE (AP) – Singapore's football league has imposed heavy punishments on two clubs, three players and a coach after a fight between two teams before an S. League game last month.
Disciplinary Committee chairman K. Bala Chandran said Wednesday that members of Etoile F.C. and Hougang United engaged in ''acts of hooliganism'' during the pre-game brawl that injured four people.
The two clubs were fined SG$10,000 ($8,100) and each docked five points in the standings.
Two Etoile players will miss up to seven games and faced fines up to $2,000 Singapore dollars ($1,620) while a Hougang player and coach faced five-game bans and $1,500 fines.
