Turkey midfielder Nuri Sahin is leaving Bundesliga champion Borussia Dortmund for Real Madrid.

The German-born Sahin was one of the key players for Dortmund in the young team's surge to the Bundesliga title.

Real Madrid calls the 22-year-old Sahin a ''talented, young midfielder'' and ''a master at free kicks.''

Sahin made his league debut in 2005, when he became the youngest player to play and score in the Bundesliga, before spending the 2007-08 season on loan at Dutch club Feyenoord.

Sahin's move to Madrid follows Germany midfielders Mesut Oezil and Sami Khedira, who left the Bundesliga for the Spanish capital last year.
