The organization Arizonans for Better Government seeks to recall Russell Pearce, the man behind SB1070 and a push to revoke automatic birthright citizenship for U.S.-born babies of the undocumented in Arizona.
The organization filed paperwork on Thursday to recall Pearce. They need to collect 7,700 signatures by the end of May.
The group explained that it seeks to recall Pearce because of his history on immigration issues.
State senator Pearce argues that he is merely advancing and clarifying the Constitution.
