At least four people, including a girl, were killed and 23 others wounded in mortar attacks on different parts of Damascus on Tuesday, Syrian police said.
Three people died and four others were wounded when a mortar round fired by "terrorists" hit a house on Baghdad street, a Damascus police department spokesman said.
The girl died in a mortar attack on the Al Sheikh Mohiedin district, where two people were also wounded.
Mortar rounds also hit the Damascus suburb of Barze, wounding 17 people.
President Bashar al-Assad's government recently sent letters to the United Nations complaining about the firing of mortar rounds by suspected terrorists at neighborhoods in Damascus and other cities.
Syria's civil war has claimed more than 100,000 lives since March 2011, the United Nations says. EFE
