Four Colombians were arrested in connection with the burglaries of several houses in the Anzures district of Mexico City, police said.

The suspects - a woman and three men - "are linked to other residential burglaries committed in the area," the Federal District Public Safety Secretariat said.

Officers spotted the suspects breaking into a residence on Darwin street, the secretariat said, without providing the date the incident occurred.

Claudio Ruiz Pinzon, 43, Luz Nelly Castañeda, 48, Ricardo Urrego Beltran, 40, and Giovani Alberto Posada Lizarazo, 38, were arrested, the secretariat said.

Ruiz Pinzon and Castañeda were arrested outside the property, while Urrego Beltran and Posada Lizarazo were detained inside the residence, the secretariat said in a statement.

Investigators have linked the suspects to at least two armed robberies in the same section of the capital, the secretariat said. EFE
