Extra" and "X Factor" host Mario Lopez and wife Courtney Mazza are parents for the second time, he announced on Twitter.

"It's a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please welcome Dominic Lopez to the world! Couldn't be happier. @CourtneyMLopez & baby are doing just fine," he tweeted.

Mario Lopez, who leaped to fame with his role in the 1990s television series "Saved by the Bell," and Courtney Mazza already had a little girl, Gia Francesca, who turns 3 on Wednesday.

"I am in heaven right now. And in a bar," he said in another tweet about an hour after the birth announcement.

With that note the actor closed a night of tension that began with him racing from the studio where he is currently shooting "The X Factor" to take his wife to hospital.

"Just wrapped @TheXFactorUSA & I'm rushing to the hospital. Baby Lopez #2 is coming tonight! Baby better wait for me," Lopez tweeted earlier Monday night.

While awaiting the happy moment, he took time to lament on Twitter the loss of his favorite NFL team, the San Diego Chargers.

Mario Lopez starred three years ago in a televison reality show on MTV's bilingual Tr3s channel about getting ready to be a dad for the first time. EFE
