The father of two boys kidnapped in late May is now fighting to bring them home from Central America.

Tom Walker of Poteet was reunited with his young sons in Costa Rica earlier this week.

Authorities say they were abducted by their biological mother.

But officials in Costa Rica won't release the boys from child protective custody until they've seen the parents' divorce and custody paperwork.

"We thought they'd be back in 24 hours," said grandmother Alice Denson. "They were in custody. Their father had passports, they have tickets. They have everything. We didn't realize that it was going to be this difficult."

35-year-old Brandy Romano was arrested and may face kidnapping charges.

The Walker family says it has no idea how much longer the boys will be in Costa Rica.

They’ve been posting updates on a Facebook page called "Bring Home the Walker Boys".
