At least 10 members of a Mexican music group were killed Saturday and five others were injured in a traffic accident in northern Mexico, authorities said.
The members of the La Reyna de Monterrey band died on the road that links the Mexican industrial city of Monterrey with the U.S. border city of Laredo.
The musicians were returning to Monterrey after giving a concert in the Texas city, the daily El Norte reported, citing federal highway police.
The accident apparently occurred when the driver of the vehicle in which they were riding fell asleep at the wheel, veered into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer. EFE
