The Cookie Monster was caught with his hands in the cookie jar – and now he may face jail time.

A man who dressed up as the popular “Sesame Street” character to entertain tourists in Manhattan's Times Squares is accused of pushing the 2-year-old son of Bollywood star Parmita Kurada, the New York Daily News is reporting.

According to prosecutors, Osvaldo Quiroz-Lopez, 33, cursed the actress after her son took a photo with Cookie Monster and the actress did not immediately pay up.

“You are a bitch, your son is a bastard and your stuff is trash,” Quiroz-Lopez, 33, said, according to court papers.

Kurada said that the chaos took place when her other son became fascinated with the costume characters in Times Square when they were heading to Toys R US to purchase a bicycle.

“The next thing I know, Cookie Monster had already picked up my son and was like, ‘Come on, take a picture!’” said Kurada, adding that things escalated after she asked her husband to take cash out of the ATM.

“(The monster) was right next to me saying, ‘Come on, come on! Give me the money!’ ” Kurada continued. “I was getting scared. I thought he was going to attack me or he was going to hit me.”

Cops said that Quiroz-Lopez pushed the toddler and then walked away Turns out the cookie monster felt hulk-like when he did not get a tip from the family.

“She should have money on her and she was wasting my time,” he allegedly told authorities.

Quiroz-Lopez is now facing charges for child endangerment and aggressive begging. On Monday, a Manhattan judge set his bail at $1,000.

The incident has been the talk at the Times Squate, where some say the performers do the unthinkable to get their tips.

“(Some) hold onto kids until they get their tip,” said Tim Tompkins, president of the Times Square Alliance. “I’ve seen some of them randomly hug an attractive woman who has no kids within 50 feet of her.”

Other incidents have included a Super Mario who groped a woman, a Spider-Man who punched a mom, and an anti-Semitic Elmo.

Still, a friend of Quiroz-Lopez who did not give his name told the tabloid that he is a calm person.

“He didn’t do anything, the people are lying,” said the source.
