A man fatally stabbed two people before committing suicide, authorities in Casper, Wyoming, said Friday.

Police found two bodies - one of them the suspect - in a classroom at Casper College, while the second victim was discovered several hours later on a nearby street.

The attack at the two-year college occurred around 9:00 a.m., Casper police chief Chris Walsh said, identifying the victims only as a male and a female.

While initial media accounts mentioned shots, Walsh said no guns were involved and he described the murder weapon as a sharp-edged object.

Police suspect the killer knew his victims, but have yet to determine the nature of the relationship or the motive for the murders.

"I want to emphasize that this is a horrible tragedy," Walsh said. EFE
