Ten people were killed and 19 others hurt Wednesday when a bus carrying preschoolers flipped over in the western Mexican state of Michoacan, authorities said.
The accident occurred at 11:00 a.m. on the Uruapan-Taretan highway, state officials said.
Aboard the bus were children and instructors from the Juan Escutia preschool in Uruapan, traveling to a crocodile farm in El Sabino.
Several parents accompanied the youngsters on the outing.
The state government dispatched a helicopter to the accident scene to transport the injured to hospitals in Uruapan and Morelia, Michoacan's capital. EFE
