Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, but are you prepared to make a great impression on your date? And if you don’t have a special someone this year, then what do you do? Our readers had these questions and more for Charlie the Matchmaker, a celebrity matchmaker and image consultant in New York.

He recently released his first book called “Love Made Easy with Charlie the Matchmaker,” available on Amazon. He’s also a frequent contributor for MY Lifestyle Magazine. So what’s his biggest piece of advice for anyone celebrating this day of love?

“Whether you are going on a first date or celebrating with the love of your life for the umpteenth year in a row, make it special and memorable,” he says. “Instead of grabbing that Hallmark card and box of chocolates from the corner bodega, write that person a love letter and make a quiet homemade meal.”

But what happens if you are single this year?

“If you do not have a date, don't run around frantically searching for one last minute,” he says. “Instead, surround yourself with positive energy and friends.”
