Today is a relatively stress-free day in Argentina.

An Indian spiritual leader drew thousands of fans when he appeared in Argentina's capital of Buenos Aires to take a stand against violence and stress.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, known as Sri Sri, is founder of a NGO called Art of Living Foundation. His organization estimates Sunday's crowd at a park in Buenos Aires swelled to more than 100,000 people. His group is hoping the crowds broke records since the event was billed as the “world’s biggest mediation session.”

They chanted and moved rhythmically as the guru urged them to focus their collective energy on ending violence and creating a world free of stress. His biggest tool to achieve this feat: breathing deeply.

Smaller crowds were urged to meditate together around the world as Ravi Shankar's image was transmitted on television screens.

Ravi Shankar's The Art of Living foundation is particularly popular in Argentina. The country’s Ministry of Justice reportedly has a contract with him to perform at federal prisons.
