Spain's Princess Letizia makes the 2011 list of the 25 most powerful women in the world in many different fields including communications, fashion and politics, according to People en Español magazine.

It recalls that Letizia Ortiz, the 39-year-old wife of Crown Prince Felipe, is the honorary president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, and that she also supports women's education and professional development.

The list is topped by actress Adamari Lopez for her work in the fight against breast cancer, a malady with which she was diagnosed in 2006.

Included on the list is singer Thalia, who told the magazine that she is about to launch her autobiography "Cada Dia Mas Fuerte" (Stronger Every Day) and a new disc following the birth of her second child.

Also named are Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek and Kate del Castillo, about whom the magazine notes that her acting in "La Reina del Sur" (Queen of the South), based on the like-named novel by Spanish writer Arturo Perez-Reverte, was beyond all expectations.

Actresses Selena Gomez, Sofia Vergara and Maite Perroni are also among the 25 most powerful women chosen by People en Español.
