Mexican singer Paulina Rubio blew up at Miami police officers after having a car accident in that city, TMZ.com reported.

The singer apparently had a minor accident last Saturday near the coast, and when an officer asked her to get out of the car and go stand on the sidewalk, Rubio refused and "began to swear at the official in Spanish," the celebrity gossip and entertainment news Web site TMZ said, citing police.

Her behavior spurred the officer to tell Rubio she was under arrest, after which he pulled the singer out of her car, handcuffed her and put her in the police vehicle, which in turn caused the singer to start yelling for help and saying that she hadn't done anything wrong, TMZ said.

"You bunch of liars! Bullies!" the singer shouted at the police officers.

It took Rubio, married to Spaniard Nicolas Vallejo-Nagera, an hour to calm down and apologize, TMZ said.

The singer was not taken to jail at that time because she said she had to go home and breastfeed her baby, born in November, though she must still appear in a U.S. court on charges of disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice and refusal to obey a police officer.
