Prosecutors in Puerto Rico have indicted 13 suspects, including three doctors, of conspiracy to commit health care fraud.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said in a statement Thursday that one doctor is accused of charging Medicare more than half a million dollars for services never rendered at a medical center where he never worked.
The office also charged the doctor's brother, a dentist whom prosecutors say provided his brother with his patients' personal information.
A second indictment accuses another doctor of overbilling Medicare for a muscle relaxer.
Two other indictments accuse the president of a medical equipment company and the owners of a health care company of filing hundreds of fake claims.
