Paraguay's only airline is going out of business.

The airline Sol, or "Sun" in English, says it couldn't compete against much bigger carriers because Brazil and Argentina refused to give it access to the routes it needed to be profitable.

The company said in a statement Monday that "the lack of support from neighboring countries limited our growth and provoked economic damages that could not be repaired."

Uruguay's national airline, Pluna, met the same fate earlier this month and also blamed its bigger neighbors for closing gates on them.
