Sofia Vergara may have left Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards empty-handed for the fourth consecutive year, but the loss did not stop the “Modern Family” beauty from enjoying her night – which she documented in candid behind-the-scenes pictures on her WhoSay account.

The 41-year-old Colombian actress started the night giving fans a peek into her glamour preparations – by eating a chocolate cake – before slipping into a gorgeous, yet simple black Zac Posen gown that she paid with an eye-catching turquoise statement necklace.

When she hit the red carpet, all eyes were definitely on her.

While talking with E! host Ryan Seacrest, Vergara joked that she felt like she was “carrying a tent” where she could smuggle Colombians into the show.

“They don’t let me (bring) more here at the Golden Globes – it’s not like the Emmys,” she said referring to last year’s Primetime Emmy Awards where she was joined by nearly two dozen family members.

When asked about her trip to Mexico for the holidays, which included a photo of her wearing a thong bikini, Vergara said it’s natural for her to show some skin.

“The cold weather is torture,” she told Seacrest. “You have to wear too many clothes.”

Accompanied by fiancé Nick Loeb and son Manolo, the actress offered some candid shots of the awards show, taking pictures with her “Modern Family” co-stars, selfies with on-screen husband Ed O’Neill and Dame Helen Mirren, along with snapshots of Jim Carrey and Johnny Depp.

And then Vergara surprised with the best wardrobe change of the night.

Before heading to the various after-parties held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Vergara quickly slipped into a racier, very low-cut Zuhair Muriad metallic gown.

With the picture, she tweeted: “Feeling so JLo!!!! Change for the partyyys,”

And if her snapshots were any indication, party she did, even trying to steal the Golden Globe statute from Jacqueline Bissett, who beat Vergara for the best supporting actress in a TV show award.

“Its mine!!!!!!!!mio!!!!!!!!,” the “Modern Family” tweeted along with a photo of her and Bissett fighting for the coveted award.

Vergara may be becoming the Susan Lucci of primetime television, but she plays it off graciously and with as little blood as possible – never forgetting to show at various parties along the way.
