Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Draco Rosa's pair of weekend concerts here will mark his first performances on the island since he announced his victory over cancer at the end of last year.
Bald from chemotherapy, Rosa looked fragile during the March 2012 show at San Juan's Coliseo Jose M. Agrelot in March 2012 with Ruben Blades and Juan Luis Guerra.
Rosa, 44, spent two years undergoing treatment for a malignant tumor in his abdomen.
A few months after proclaiming himself cancer-free, he released "Vida," an album featuring 16 guest artists, such as Ricky Martin, Shakira, Alejandro Sanz, Guerra, Blades, Calle 13 and Juanes.
The effort resulted in a Latin Grammy for Album of the Year.
All in all, Draco says, 2013 has been "an intense year" of leaving illness behind, changing his nutritional habits and resuming his career.
Rosa is expected to publish a book on nutrition based on what he learned in the course of his cancer treatment. EFE
