VOXXI, an English-language Web site directed at U.S. Latinos, announced a partnership with the Studios division of digital platform Interactive One, which reaches millions of black and Hispanics.

"This is the first time that two large media organizations that represent the country's two largest minorities are collaborating to develop a new strategic concept, with new solutions for brands, markets and advertising agencies," Emilio Sanchez, VOXXI's president and editor-in-chief, told Efe.

Thanks to the accord, Miami-based VOXXI will be added to the more than 70 other sites already on Interactive One's proprietary platform.

"The current state of the U.S. Hispanic market presents a huge opportunity for us and Interactive One," Sanchez said.

"A new kind of audience is growing in the country: young, urban, multicultural and multiracial," he said.

"Interactive One is pleased to join forces with VOXXI to help inform such a critical segment of the nation's New Urban population," Tom Newman, president of the New York-based outfit, said. EFE
