The 24th Billboard Latin Music Conference kicked off Monday in Miami with the presence of some of the industry's biggest stars and producers.

Artists such as Gloria Estefan, Carlos Vives, Jorge Drexler and Don Omar will take part in question-and-answer sessions.

During the meeting, which winds up next Wednesday with the presentation of the Billboard Latin Music Awards, topics such as the future of the Latin music industry will be discussed, as well as  new ways artists and record labels can reach the public and the importance of the Internet.

On Tuesday, execs from broadcast, satellite and Internet radio will discuss how to target the Hispanic listener with the new music services.

Urban singer Don Omar heads the list of finalists for the Billboard awards with 18 nominations, followed by Romeo Santos with 12 and the Wisin & Yandel duo with 11.
